Every PC which connects to the internet either by telephone or by network needs to have software installed to protect it from viruses, worms and spyware.

Further protection can be gained by installing and using software to remove spyware threats. Much of the software will keep itself upto date as you log into the internet; but it is a good practice to update and run the software from time to time on your own. Simply surfing the web can allow new threats to infect your computer but with proper care you can keep your PC running smothly day to day.

A few of the tools which we have employed succesfully in the past are listed on the left of the screen. Some tools are free to use for home purposes, the others will allow you to try before you buy. If you are installing anti-virus software; I strongly suggest that you install only one package at a time to prevent the tools from becoming a burden on the computer resources.
